The Leicester Vegan market returned to the covered market for its first event of 2017 (not to be confused with the vegan festival in May – different organizers). It seemed a little quieter than the past events and there didn’t seem to be quite as many stalls, but it still turned out to be a really great event and even my London-based friend was impressed (and he has been to the big events in Brighton and Bristol). There were the usual suspects at this event, plus a couple of new vendors that I haven’t come across before, including Sareta and Charlie May of V.Edge who I am social media friends with but had never met in real life.
So here’s a look at some of the delicious vegan foods that were on offer at the summer vegan market.

No Baloney making the most delicious smelling hot dog bites

Vegan Junk Food Notts doin their thang with incredible looking donuts

The Vegan Pizza Co serving up freshly cooked pizzas

Charlie May and Sareta from V.Edge serving up beautiful rainbow boxes

My delicious rainbow box from V.Edge

Lettices vegan cheese

Home Kitchen Vegan serving up some lovely vegan curry

The samosa chaat from Home Kitchen Vegan

Lovely chocolates from Willow & Dove

A seriously delicious “filet o fish” from Vegan Junk Notts

And of course the to die for mozzarella sticks from Vegan Junk Food Notts (we had two plates!)

Annie Mae’s vegan cheeses are some of my favourites

The very popular Vork Pies
In addition to all the good food at the market, there were also a lot of great non-food vendors selling makeup, clothing, plants, art and more. The next market is in September (details here) and I would definitely recommend giving it a go!
Be sure to check out my vlog below to get a peek at what we purchased from the market.
I really need to try and go to the next one! I’m not vegan but I am a foodie so I’d love to give all the food and try!
I think you’d like it – especially the street vendors – they do lovely food!!
Hi Lindsay 🙂I just wanted to let you know that I nominated your blog for The Sunshine Blogger Award. 🙂
Wow! Leicester vegan market has it going on! Everything looks amazing but I am especially tempted by those vegan pork pies, £3 pizza slices, and those delicious sounding hot dog bites.
